Spae Int'l Communications Launches Vidyo - "Anytime, Anywhere" HD Videoconferencing System

Spae International Communications partners with Vidyo to create HD video conferencing available to anyone, anywhere.

HONOLULU, HI, February 07, 2010 /HiTech PR News/ -- Spae International Communications, a leading global provider of Personal Telepresence and quality communication services, is partnering with Vidyo , an Internet-based videoconferencing system, to make high definition (HD) video conferencing available to "anyone, anytime, anywhere."
Vidyo is the first multipoint videoconferencing solution designed to work on a range of user environments over any general-purpose IP network, delivering high-quality experiences at lower costs. No matter where you, your colleagues or customers may be in the world, Vidyo provides a face-to-face experience, fostering collaboration at a moment's notice.
VidyoDesktop is a software-based solution that is easy to use and manage via VidyoPortal offering reservation-less videoconferencing capabilities. Whether customers choose to buy an entire system or just the service, Spae International Communications offers affordable personal telepresence options. Vidyo also offers uncomplicated interoperability with legacy systems without a costly Video Conferencing Multipoint Control Unit (MCU).
"Businesses no longer need special high-priced videoconference systems to host meetings amongst geographically dispersed teams," says Sidney Higa, president of Spae International Communications. "With a laptop, a web camera, headphones or noise cancelling speaker/microphone and a Internet wireless or wired connection, anyone can participate no matter where they might happen to be. And customers will be amazed at the video and audio quality!"
Vidyo is ideal for online business meetings, presentations, demonstrations, training sessions, and even family events. It works with most cross platform hardware and all operating systems, such as Mac, Linux or Windows. One router supports up to 100 different sessions and users are assigned a personal space that can be password protected. Users can have up to eight screens visible at one time on their screen depending on equipment capabilities, and during the call the presenter and participants can share presentations and desktop documents.
Vidyo enables organizations to increase collaboration. With these collaborative capabilities, business can increase team productiveness while reducing costs by eliminating the need to travel.
Companies who have already invested significantly in existing videoconference equipment don't need to worry about junking their legacy systems. VidyoGateway works with every system available on the market today, including Polycom, Tandberg and other MCU-based systems.
"Since the start of the year, Polycom and Cisco (to name a few), have unveiled plans for improved video conferencing platforms, but none can offer the greater deployment flexibility of Vidyo ," says Gil Flores, Spae International Communications' telepresence consultant. "What is so amazing about Vidyo is its ability to interface to any legacy system via our gateway without the need for a video conferencing multipoint control unit (MCU). No one in the market today can offer this video conferencing option."
This year, Vidyo plans to make TV-quality multipoint videoconferencing available on handhelds and smartphones. On January 7th, Intel CEO Paul Otellini demonstrated a multipoint videoconference on a Moorestown-based smartphone during his CES keynote, highlighting the unique advantages of Vidyo's patented VidyoRouter architecture. This enables higher resolution endpoints to interact seamlessly with lower resolution endpoints, such as handheld devices over a wireless network.
VidyoConferencing products are all designed to take advantage of an existing IP infrastructure with no dedicated networks required. Spae International Communications brings the price, performance and quality of video conferencing in line with user expectations by applying Vidyo's unique intellectual property that uses the recently approved H.264 Scalable Video Coding (SVC) standard. The result is a VidyoConferencing solution that delivers HD/telepresence quality at the industry's best resilience and lowest latency over converged IP networks. The VidyoGateway can be installed in any network or hosted at Spae International Communications, and supports both H.264 and H.263 video conferencing as well as G.711, G.722 and H.323 signaling.
Wedbush Securities reports that "Vidyo is positioning itself as a disruptive force to traditional players in the enterprise videoconferencing market. We think Vidyo's use of the H.264 SVC protocol to introduce a cheaper, higher quality, videoconferencing solution aimed at the desktop has the potential to create significant disruption in the traditional conferencing market over the next 12-24 months."
Through Spae International Communication's partnership with Vidyo , customers worldwide can count on easy access to Vidyo Personal Telepresence products and services.
